Let's try this again...

WAHMs know that nap-time means work-time!

So, I had all intentions of chronicling my adventures as a work-at-home mom (WAHM) when my son was a baby, but guess what? I was too BUSY!  Now, more than three years and another baby later,  I can say that I have found something that works really well for our family, and I think I am ready to share some of our adventures and trials.

It can be crazy and exhausting to work-at-home while rearing two littles, but it so rewarding, as well.  Bear is now just shy of three and a half years old, and my little girl, Everly (Ever), is 15-months.  The kids are home with me full-time, and I'm working as a magazine editor and an online-adjunct for a university. Oh, and I'm doing homeschool preschool with Bear now, too.

Sometimes, and I'm sure all parents could agree, it seems like there aren't enough hours in a day.  Other times, it seems like there are too many hours in the day (C'mon, you know what I mean!). Fortunately, my littlest is an amazing sleeper, and Bear is getting there.  He's got lots of energy, but since he's recently given up napping, he falls asleep easily around 6:30 each night.  It's the worst and the best.  While I would love for a little break during the day, it's so nice not to struggle at bedtime.

After the kids go to bed, and after I've spent some time with my husband, my work-day usually is "just beginning."  It isn't always the perfect situation, but I really do think it works.  So, please join me on this crazy beautiful journey.  I'll share what works for us, and what doesn't, the joys and trials I
